This role provides financial transparency for patients seeking services at Henry County Health Center.
They are responsbile for verifing all registrations, as well as monitoring payment plans and financial assistance applications.
The right candidate will have great customer service skills and be familar with insurance plans.
Responsibilities:
Provides financial transparency for Patient's seeking services at HCHC.
Verify all components for a clean admission (insurance, signatures, phone number, address etc.
).
Runs schedules (X-ray, Surgery, etc.
) to assure that all patients that have been added on during the day or previous day have been reviewed for coverage and financial transparency.
Checks insurance to be sure precertification does not need to be done prior to services.
Notifies providers when precertification must be done prior to service.
Works with Centralized Scheduling to processes pre-registration documents for those that have not been completed.
Processes and sends patient's estimates of all high dollar scheduled procedures and surgeries as well as any private pay patients.
Contacts patient's by phone regarding payment obligations and payment schedules prior to services and after sending out estimates.
Completes and Processes ABN's in accordance with medical necessity guidelines.
Monitors debt obligations when registering patients and appropriately discusses payment options.
Counsels patients regarding payment obligations and benefit coverage as well as collects any co-pays and takes payments for services rendered or being rendered.
Discusses insurance obligations with patients when necessary.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school graduate or GED equivalent Preferred:
Billing and coding knowledge Medical insurance knowledge Medical terminology knowledge.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
